For OSU Marion Students Doing Student Teaching
The Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation offers financial assistance to selected students who are engaged in student teaching experiences through the Jane Brundige Stein Student Teaching Grant.
Award and Eligibility:
This grant is awarded to a candidate who is a legal resident of Marion County and attends the OSU Marion Campus the semester of their student teaching assignment. The grant will be paid directly to the university the semester of student teaching.
Requirements of applicant:
Consideration will be given to applicants who complete the electronic application correctly. Every application must include a digital photo appropriate for publication (headshot preferred) and two letters of recommendation on official letterhead stationery.
Recommendations must be from a professor of education, supervisor or the student’s education advisor, or a work-related supervisor addressing the student’s outstanding teaching and personal qualities.
PLEASE HAVE THESE DOCUMENTS/PHOTO READY WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE APPLICATION. You will be asked to attach them to the application.
ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY BY FEBRUARY 1.

Requirements of recipient:
- Email a letter of acceptance within seven (7) days upon receiving notification of the award.
- Email a letter of verification of student teaching dates from the university to the Scholarship Committee Chairman the semester prior to the student teaching experience.
- Email a narrative of 200-400 words, along with photo/s if possible, describing your student teaching experience and how this grant helped you achieve your goal within thirty days (30) upon completion of student teaching.
