The following opportunities to develop educational excellence are available to members of Ohio State Organization of Delta Kappa Gamma, and to non-members through support provided by Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation (ADSOEF).
NON-MEMBER OPPORTUNITIES
ESTHER H. STRICKLAND STUDENT TEACHING GRANT The Esther H. Strickland Student Teaching Grant is awarded to a college student enrolled at a state university in Ohio. This grant is awarded to the recipient the semester in which they complete student teaching. Approved universities include: University of Akron, Bowling Green State University, Central State University, Cleveland State University, Kent State University, Miami University, The Ohio State University, Ohio University, Shawnee State University, The University of Toledo, Wright State University and Youngstown State University.
MEMBER AND NON-MEMBER OPPORTUNITIES
A. MARGARET BOYD INTERNATIONAL STUDY FELLOWSHIP The A. Margaret Boyd International Study Fellowship was established to promote cultural and educational exchange among women educators worldwide. Two fellowships may be awarded yearly. The Overseas Fellowship may be awarded to a female foreign Fulbright Scholar who is pursuing a graduate degree at a university in Ohio. AnOhio Fellowship may be awarded to an Ohio State Organization member doing graduate study in a foreign country.
LEADERSHIP TheLeadership Fund provides support to members for expenses related to developing leadership knowledge, skills or experiences and provides support to members for expenses specifically related to non-profit leadership or board participation.
MEMBER OPPORTUNITIES
SCHOLARSHIPS The Margaret L. White Scholarship is available for graduate degree study at The Ohio State University, the Ruth Grimes Scholarship is available at Miami University, the Florence L. Woodward Scholarship is available at Kent State University, and the Annie Webb Blanton Scholarship is available for use at any accredited university.
EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS TheIndividual/Classroom/Community Projects Fund provides up to five hundred dollars ($500.00) in financial support for educational projects that fund targeted learners in non-profit settings and community based projects.
LIFELONG LEARNING The Lifelong Learning Fund provides support to members for expenses which encourage the ongoing, voluntary and self-motivated pursuit of knowledge for either personal or professional reasons.
