Alpha Delta State Ohio (now known as Ohio State Organization) is the originator of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation (ADSOEF). Members at the 2017 State Convention authorized the establishment of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation. The A. Margaret Boyd Overseas Foundation was renamed Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation.
ADSOEF is recognized as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and began operation July 1, 2017. As a 501(c)(3) organization, ADSOEF provides funding for activities that support professional and personal growth of educators in Ohio and promotes educational excellence for Ohio students.
ADSOEF maintains the following funds: A. Margaret Boyd International Study Fund, Esther H. Strickland Student Teaching Grant Fund, Annie Webb Blanton Scholarship Fund, Florence L. Woodward Scholarship Fund, Lifelong Learning Fund, Leadership Fund, Individual/Classroom/Community Project Fund, and the Without Donor Restriction (Unrestricted) Fund.
ADSOEF is managed by ten elected Directors from Delta Kappa Gamma – Ohio State Organization who serve two-year staggered terms. The first election was March 2017 at the State Convention General Session. The Board of Directors elect a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Secretary. The Ohio State Organization President serves as an ex-officio member of the Foundation Board of Directors.
The ADSOEF Annual Meeting is generally conducted at the Ohio State Organization Convention. All members of Ohio State Organization are members of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation and can participate in, make motions, and vote at the annual meeting.
