The Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation offers financial assistance to selected postgraduate students who are members of Delta Kappa Gamma or non-Delta Kappa Gamma members, but are enrolled in the Education and Nursing Degree Program at the Marion Branch of OSU.
Award and Eligibility
This scholarship is awarded to a Delta Kappa Gamma member or a non-member who attends the Marion Branch of The Ohio State University and is a legal resident of Marion County, Ohio. The scholarship is paid directly to the university. Recipients may use the award no earlier than the summer or fall term following the awarding of the scholarship. The applicant must meet any specifications as set forth by the scholarship and the university.
Requirements of applicant
Consideration will be given to applicants who complete the electronic application correctly. Every application must include a digital photo appropriate for publication and two letters of recommendation on official letterhead stationery. PLEASE HAVE THESE DOCUMENTS/PHOTOS READY WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE APPLICATION. You will be asked to attach them to the application.
The two letters of recommendation must be from a supervisor, or someone in your field of employment addressing your work ethic and employment.
VERY IMPORTANT: Requirements of recipient:
- Email a letter of acceptance within seven (7) days upon receiving notification of the award.
- Within thirty days (30) following the completion of your classwork you will write a narrative, of 200-400 words, along with photos describing how the scholarship benefited you and how it will help you achieve your goal of becoming a classroom educator or nurse.
- Failure to comply with these requirements shall hinder future requests.
ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY BY FEBRUARY 1.
